ROOSEVELT, NY — A Rockville Centre man was arrested Saturday after Nassau County police say he threatened a mechanic with a gun.

According to police, David Tejada, 42, of 7 Russell Place, went to Precision Tint & Glass Detail Center, located at 260 Centennial Ave. in Roosevelt, at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tejada's car was there being repaired.

Police say Tejada went to the rear door and banged on it to get the attention of the owner. The owner opened the door, and the two got into an argument over Tejada's car repairs not being done on time. Police say Tejada then pulled out a gun, pointed it at the owner and threatened him with it. He then walked to the front of the building, and police say the owner saw him use the gun to smash a front glass door. Police say Tejada then left the scene on foot.
