Patch's Teacher Of The Week: Lisa Greve

The sixth grade teacher is a busy mom of four, but spends her free time helping the school where she teaches.

Teachers all over do amazing work every day. Often, all the work teachers do goes overlooked. We wanted to make sure that stellar teachers get some of the recognition they deserve.

One teacher who deserves a shout-out is Lisa Greve, a sixth grade teacher at Camp Avenue School in North Merrick. She was nominated as Teacher of the Week by Mickey Solan, a fellow employee at the school.

Lisa is a mother to four children who are in various sports and Irish Step dancing, and that compete all over. Her girls are in Girl Scouts and her youngest son has a schedule of his own, so you know she’s a mom in the go. She is the Student Council adviser, and she gets the elections going and has various sales of things to raise money for the school. She also shows the kids what it means to think of others.
Lisa is also assistant to our principal. She is one of the hardest workers and I was lucky enough to work in her classroom.
I could go on and on about the kind of teacher she is and how she builds these kids up to be the best. She deserves to be recognized because she is a wonderful person who would do anything for anyone.

Congratulations Lisa Greve!
