The Calhoun On Tour Company presents Rick Elice's PETER AND THE STARCATCHER!

The Calhoun High School On Tour Company continues its season with Peter and the Starcatcher written by Rick Elice and music by Wayne Barker. Performances will be held in Calhoun High school's auditorium, located at 1786 State St, Merrick, NY 11566. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. beginning on Saturday, January 19th, and continue the next week on Friday, January 25th and Saturday, January 26th. Peter and the Starcatcher is a prologue to the famous story of Peter Pan. Based on the best-selling novel by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson, Peter and the Starcatcher was adapted for the stage and premiered on Broadway in 2012. Peter and the Starcatcher won five Tony Awards and eight Lucille Nortel, Drama Desk, Tina, Obie and Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards.

The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell, and Hook, and serves as a prequel to J.M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy. It's a magic-filled adventure featuring Peter, Molly Aster, and the Lost Boys, who battle evil pirate Black Stache, in their journey to keep their treasure safe and save the world!

In Peter and the Starcatcher, a troupe of storytellers come together and use whatever they can find (mops, blankets, umbrellas, trunks, ropes, and more) to create the pretend world of Peter Pan. You will see the actors playing multiple roles including the scenery! Tickets are on sale now. Bring the whole family!
The talented cast features Jake Levy as Boy/Peter Pan, Bari Secondino as Molly Aster, Nick Procopio as Black Stache, Sam Fortmeyer as Smee/Lieutenant Gregors, Liam Parrish as Mrs. Bumbrake, Morgan Kaplan as Alf, Danielle Schwetz as Teddy, Stephen Rini as Lord Leonard Aster, and Max Unlu as Prentiss.

Tickets for Peter and the Starcatcher are $8 for students and seniors, $12 for adults and can be purchased at the door. You can reach the box office at (516) 992-1377 to reserve tickets before the performance.
