American Idol Finalist Robbie Rosen Helps North Shore HS Student Give Back To Charity

On Saturday Claudia Cannam a student from North Shore High School gave back to the community for a great cause. Claudia celebrated her sweet 16 by hosting a concert/ party to help benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The reason she chose this charity is because as many people may know October is national breast cancer awareness month and also because she has a personal connection . Claudia’s Aunt is a breast cancer survivor who is not living cancer free so she wanted to help the cause.

The event was held at Revolution Bar and Music hall which is a local concert venue on Merrick Road in Amityville. The event began at about 2PM when opener Maura McGovern hit the stage to sing her set to a crowd of about 130 people who were sitting and standing in the music hall . Maura was followed up by Alessandra who was a contestant on The Voice season 3 for 17 episodes. Other artists who performed included local teen sensation Jordan Plantinga , The bands of Count To Ten, Love Above all, Say It Say It and more. American Idol Top 16 star Robbie Rosen put on an amazing performance as the headliner to close out the show with a bang.

Overall the show raised about $2,300 combined between tickets sold for the show , pink bracelets and Raffle tickets for the prizes which included tickets to Aaron Carter and Count To Ten which Revolution was kind enough to donate for the cause. Claudia and her friends and family all had a great birthday celebration and are glad they got to celebrate while giving to a good cause .
