Swastika Found Etched Into Nassau Driveway

Someone carved the hate symbol into the freshly poured driveway of a Merrick home.

MERRICK, NY — A swastika was found drawn in cement in front of a home in Merrick, and Nassau County police are investigating it as a hate crime.

According to police, the owner of a home on Brian Drive had a cement driveway poured on Oct. 6. On Oct. 8, the homeowner saw that a swastika had been etched into the fresh cement.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
