Sazzy was found in North Merrick!

When you watch the commercial about an abused, hungry, cold & lost dog, that's Sazzy. Please help find her!!

WITH THE HELP OF A NEIGHBOR, SAZZY WAS FOUND HALLOWEEN NIGHT!! This was her story...Sazzy, a rescued dog, has been lost and on the run since October 1st. We need your help!! Sazzy was an abused and discarded dog from Louisiana who was found living on cat food and roadkill. She's a Brindle mix meaning she has markings similar to a zebra though brown on black; and a tan mark across the bridge of her nose. She was brought to her adoptive family in Merrick on Sept 27th. While on the way to the vet to get microchipped, Sazzy jumped out of the car and fled. This was on Oct. 1st. She was first seen in the vicinity of the Merrick Jewish Center; and later moved north toward Merrick Avenue & Larkspur.

This lil girl doesn't know what it is like to have a loving family or a home. She loves other animals but is fearful of people. Her puppy life must have been brutal. Sazzy recently took coverage under a deck on Crocus Street in North Merrick. While the trappers were working to get her, for a second time, someone came and chased her. She obviously got scared, ran down the block and continued north on Merrick Avenue out of sight. The odds are stacked against her. She does not know Long Island. People that have seen her say she is VERY thin. No doubt from running scared and not finding food. She doesn't even know her name. This was given to her by her rescuers. On top of all this, in her travels she lost her collar. Please let three times be the charm. Let's find her & bring this girl home to her adoptive family!! We are pleading with the community. While you're out trick-or-treating or enjoying the day, look for SAZZY. She can be anywhere from Merrick, North Merrick to East Meadow. If you see Sazzy, DO NOT CHASE HER! We need help to show this dog what a great life is waiting for her with a warm bed and food. Once Sazzy is found, she will be brought to a vet before getting her own Halloween treaties.
