Woman Dies In Fiery Car Crash In Nassau
Police said her car left the road and hit a tree, causing it to burst into flames.
ROOSEVELT, NY — A woman was killed in a crash in Roosevelt Sunday afternoon, Nassau police said.
The woman was driving a 2020 Toyota RAV4 west on Hudson Avenue between Elysian Terrace and North Long Beach Avenue when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree, police said. The crash caused the SUV to catch fire.
The Roosevelt Fire Department responded to the scene and put out the fire. They found the body of the driver still inside the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
