Infant Dies In Town Of Chatham

CHATHAM, NY — The New York State Police are investigating the death of an infant in the town of Chatham.

Around 3:30 p.m. Monday, troopers were sent to an address on Route 203 in Chatham for a 911 call regarding an unresponsive infant.

Authorities said lifesaving techniques were immediately employed by the troopers and were then taken over by paramedics from Valatie Rescue Squad.

The state police said the child did not survive.

The investigation remains open, officials said.
