3 New Rapid Coronavirus Test Sites Open In Midtown
The three sites offer antigen tests at less than $30 each, and promise results within 30 minutes, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Three new sites offering rapid coronavirus tests opened Friday around Midtown, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced.
A test at each site costs less than $30 and promises results within 30 minutes, Cuomo said.
The new Midtown testing sites are:

- Bioreference, 1700 Broadway (near West 53rd Street)
- Bioreference, 6 West 52nd St. (near Fifth Avenue)
- Bioreference, 599 Lexington Ave. (near East 52nd Street)
They will perform antigen tests, which are FDA-approved but are not always as accurate as PCR tests, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

- Not be experiencing symptoms
- Have no known exposures to COVID-19 in the past 10 days
- Have not tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days.
- Not be obligated to quarantine under the state's travel restrictions

The 11 new sites around New York, announced Friday, are part of the governor's NY Forward Rapid Test Program: a "public-private partnership designed to expand rapid testing sites across New York State with the goal of building consumer confidence."
