Bryant Park Film Festival: Everything You Need To Know For 'On The Town'

Starting time, what to bring and more for this free movie screening.

BRYANT PARK, NY — That Bryant Park Film Festival will screen "On The Town" Monday, a week after rain made the official opening of the HBO sponsored festival a wash-out.

Hester Street Fair will be at the park selling food. Vendors include Breads Bakery, Burger and Lobster, Coffeemania, Joey Bats, Manousheh, Economy, Pokee NYC, Renegade Lemonade, Taiyaki NYC, Thaibird, and Tijuana Picnic.

“On the Town” is a 1949 musical romantic comedy based on the Broadway show of the same name. The movie is about three sailors who spend 24 hours in New York City. The movie won an Oscar for Best Music in 1950.

When does the screening start?

“On the Town” is scheduled to begin at sunset, which tonight is at 8:31 p.m.

The Lawn opens at 5 p.m., and it is recommended moviegoers arrive early to secure a spot.

What can I bring?

Moviegoers can bring the following items:

  • Bags/backpacks (subject to inspection)
  • Blankets

Moviegoers cannot bring the following items:

  • Dogs
  • Chairs, tables or plastic ground coverings
