Bryant Park's Giant Yoga Classes Return After 2 Years
The popular free event is back at Bryant Park, offering thousands of slots for New Yorkers to stretch their limbs in the heart of Midtown.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Thousands of New Yorkers will once again get the chance to stretch their limbs in the heart of Midtown as Bryant Park's giant, free yoga classes make a triumphant return following a pandemic year off.
The popular series will start June 16 and run through August 18, held each Wednesday at 6 p.m. on the park's lawn.
To join, people must register online. Each session is capped at about 500 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

An "accomplished yogi" will lead each class, starting with Bethany Lyon and ending with Sara Clark, "a Bryant Park favorite," according to organizers.
First launched in 2003, Bryant Park Yoga has drawn as many as 1,000 participants in a single class, according to the Bryant Park Corporation, which organizes it.

All classes will also be livestreamed on Bryant Park's Instagram page — a continuation of last summer's classes, which were online-only and proved popular, organizers said.

This year's series is sponsored by Happify Health, Rothman Orthopaedics and Lifeway Foods.
