Bryant Park's Picnic: What You Need To Know For Friday's Event

Bryant Park will host a free picnic June 16. This week's event includes a contemporary dance performance.

BRYANT PARK, NY — A picnic will fill Bryant Park's lawn with blankets and food Friday evening as part of a weekly event celebrating the beginning of the weekend. The picnics will be held every Friday until September 1, giving Midtown's workers and visitors a chance to unwind.

Free blankets will be given out and lawn games will be loaned, while food vendors from the Hester Street Fair will sell lunch and wine and beer will be available.

Each week, a theater, music or dance show will be put on.

What time is the picnic?

The picnic will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.

At 6 p.m., there will be a ballet performance featuring David Fernandez’s Some Dance Company, Gabrielle Lamb’s Pigeonwing Dance, Da' Von Doane & Artists of the Shift, and Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance.

Where is the picnic?

The picnic is located on The Lawn in the center of Bryant Park.

The ballet performance will take place at the Bryant Park Stage.
