CBS Reporter Nina Kapur Dies In Brooklyn Moped Crash
"We are heartbroken here at CBS2 as a member of our news family has passed away," the station reported.
BROOKLYN, NY — CBS2 journalist Nina Kapur died this weekend in a moped crash in Brooklyn, the news station reported.
"We are heartbroken here at CBS2 as a member of our news family has passed away," CBS2 reporter Jessica Moore said on air Sunday. Coworkers at the news station will remember Kapur "for her contagious smile and love for storytelling," according to the CBS2 report.
Kapur died after being taken to Bellevue Hospital following the Saturday moped crash in Greenpoint, according to reports. The Syracuse University graduate joined CBS2 in 2019 after stints at News 12 Connecticut and Maryland's WDMV.

Tributes from her coworkers at CBS2 and peers at Syracuse poured in following reports of Kapur's death.
"Our hearts are broken. @CBSNewYork @ninakapur1 we will miss your smile, your warmth, your presence. Rest In Peace young lady," longtime CBS2 anchor Chris Wragge said on Twitter.
