Con Ed Workers Save Woman’s Wedding Ring That Fell Through Sewer Grate

Two Con Ed workers came to the rescue after a woman accidentally dropped her wedding ring into a sewer grate near Grand Central Terminal on Monday, CBS reported.
Sarah Sommer of Westchester, who’s eight months’ pregnant, said she took off the ring since she was feeling uncomfortable.

She called 911 and 311 after the accident, but those authorities said there was nothing they could do to help.
So she dashed to a nearby Con Ed truck parked nearby, and two workers happily obliged.

They removed the grate and drained water below. The duo found the ring – likening the task to finding a proverbial needle in a haystack.

Sommer was ecstatic over the find.
“I just said thank you so much. God bless you,” she told CBS.
She offered the Con Ed workers a tip, but they declined, saying it was their good deed for the day.
