NEW YORK, NY — Labor Day Weekend is officially upon us. Before the kids head back to school and the summer fun ends, take a look at what’s happening in Manhattan this weekend.
Goya New York International Salsa Congress
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: This is your last chance to experience the workshops, performance showcases, live concerts and social dancing that make up this international, nine-day festival. Tickets must be purchased at the door.
Where: New York Marriott Marquis, Broadway and West 46th Street

Electric Zoo Music Festival
Neighborhood: Upper Manhattan
What: The 10th anniversary edition of this iconic electronic music festival, featuring big-time DJ headliners like Tiesto, Gramatik, Martin Garrix, Zeds Dead, Zomboy and more.
Where: Randall’s Island, across the river from East Harlem
When: Doors open at 1 p.m. Friday and at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

Sunset Sail Aboard the Schooner Adirondack
Neighborhood: Chelsea
What: This two-hour sunset sail on an 80-foot, 1890s-style schooner features breathtaking views of New York City’s most famous site: Ellis Island, Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty and more. Complimentary beer, wine, soda and champagne is included with admission.
Where: 62 Chelsea Piers, 11th Avenue at West 22nd Street
When: Sail times are set for Friday and Sunday at 6 p.m.
Minions Takeover: Kids Party Cruise
Neighborhood: Kips Bay
What: Bring the kids and take free photos with characters from “Minions” and “Despicable Me” on this two-floor yacht. Admission includes free face painting, balloon twisting, music, DJs, dancing, clowns and a magic show.
Where: Harbor Lights Cruise, FDR Drive at West 23rd Street
When: Boarding begins Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Sunday trip boards at 2 p.m.

Labor Day Weekend Open Bar Booze Cruise
Neighborhood: Kips Bay
What: A daytime yacht party with an open vodka and gin bar and complimentary red, white and rosé wines. Brooklyn Brewery will host an open beer bar for all attendees. Psychedelic rock band Blac Rabbit will also be on hand for a live, onboard performance.
Where: Skyport Marina, FDR Drive and East 23rd Street
When: Ship sails Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Movies Under the Stars: “A Wrinkle in Time”
Neighborhood: Upper West Side
What: Enjoy a free screening of Disney’s hit movie “A Wrinkle in Time.” Seating space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early. Bring a blanket or try to snag a chair from program organizers before they run out. This is an all-ages event.
Where: Frederick Douglass Playground, Amsterdam Avenue at West 100th Street
When: Saturday at 7 p.m.
Trey Songz Live
Neighborhood: Chelsea
What: A headlining performance from Grammy-nominated R&B singer Trey Songz.
Where: Highline Ballroom, West 16th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues
When: Saturday 10 p.m.
Brazilian Day
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: A free street festival celebrating Brazil’s Independence day with music, food and dance.
Where: Duffy Square at Seventh Avenue and West 46th Street
When: Sunday at 11 a.m.
