Fire in Midtown High-Rise Leaves Six Injured, Including Two Firefighters
A fire at 610 West 42nd Street early this morning has now been brought under control.

A three-alarm fire Thursday morning in a Hell's Kitchen high-rise has left six people injured, including two firefighters, a fire official said.
The fire started at 6:37 a.m. at 610 West 42nd St., and was brought under control by the FDNY at 9:53 a.m. this morning. The buildings, known as the Silver Towers, rise some 60 stories above the ground, however the fire was located at the mezzanine level. Witnesses said black smoke rose as high as the 37th floor, according to CBS2.
A fire official said both the firefighters and tenants suffered minor injuries.

The Red Cross tweeted they were assisting people who were evacuated from the building.
