MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The Danish home goods and toy store Flying Tiger Copenhagen is closing all of its U.S. locations, including a shop in Midtown, the company announced this week.
The shop, on Broadway near 21st Street in the Flatiron District, first opened in 2015, the company's first location in the U.S.
By this year, Flying Tiger was operating more than 950 locations in 29 countries, including shops in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. The shops promoted tasteful but affordable home decor, with most products designed in-house.

The company said in a Facebook post Wednesday that the pandemic had been "a bigger struggle for us than we could have ever imagined," forcing it to close all of its U.S. stores.
An employee at another Flying Tiger location, on the Upper East Side, said Thursday that the store would close sometime in the end of November or in early December.
