MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — More than two dozen glimmering, colorful sculptures were unveiled along Broadway in the Garment District this week, helping to brighten neighborhood streets during the dead of winter.
The installation, "Prismatica," includes 25 giant, rotating prisms on the Broadway plaza between 39th and 40th streets. They were unveiled Monday by the Garment District Alliance and will remain in place through Jan. 30.
The six-foot-tall prisms reflect the colors of the rainbow, and visitors who walk through the exhibition experience a range of reflections, sounds and visuals, "creating an ever-changing light show," according to organizers.

Helping brighten the mood, the Alliance held a pop-up sugar shack on Thursday in partnership with the Québec Government Office in New York, doling out Canadian maple syrup taffy to passersby.
