Grand Central Evacuation Proves to be False Alarm
The MTA said a false fire alarm at Grand Central Terminal on Wednesday morning caused some minor hassles for riders.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A false alarm at Grand Central Terminal at about 10 a.m. caused headaches for commuters.
According to the MTA, an incorrect message was sent over the public address system stating that the building should be evacuated due to a fire. There was no fire, and the message was sent accidentally.
