Grand Central Holiday Market To Return In-Person This Fall

After it was forced to go virtual last year, Grand Central's iconic Holiday Fair will be back in November, and is now seeking vendors.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The Grand Central Holiday Fair was one of many pandemic casualties last year, but the iconic market is now set to return this fall, organizers announced Monday.

The annual fair will run from Nov. 15 to Dec. 24 inside Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall, once again giving New Yorkers the chance to shop for art, home goods, toys, jewelry, clothing and more — much of it handcrafted and American-made, organizers said.

The fair was forced to go virtual last year but will now join "dozens of other New York City experiences in leading the city’s reopening and comeback," organizers said in a statement Monday.

Now, the fair is asking vendors to apply for the chance to score one of just 28 "highly coveted" booths at this year's market — down from the typical 40, to encourage social distancing.

Past years' vendors have sold "high volumes of product" and also sold pieces to museums and landed wholesale accounts with big retailers, organizers boasted.
