Helicopter Flyover Planned In Midtown Manhattan, Police Say
The helicopter will be flying over Midtown for about two hours Tuesday night, police said.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Don't freak out if you spot a low-flying helicopter in the Midtown Manhattan skies Tuesday evening.
A gold and navy Bell-206 helicopter will be making a planned flyover of Midtown from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, police told Patch. The helicopter will be flying at the relatively low altitude of 1,000 feet for about 30 minutes.
To get a sense of how low 1,000 feet is, the Empire State building reaches 1,454 feet tall at the top of its spire.
