NEW YORK CITY — Want to explore the world of science, jam out to rockin’ tunes or check out some natural wildlife? You can find all these things — and more — in Manhattan. Here’s a look at what’s going on in the borough this weekend.


Governor’s Ball Music Festival
Neighborhood: Off the coast of the Upper East Side
What: This three-day, multi-genre outdoor music festival with headlining performances from Eminem, Jack White and Travis Scott draws tens of thousands of music lovers to New York City.
Where: Randall’s Island
When: Runs from 11:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday


Kids Pop-Up Laser Tag
Neighborhood: Upper West Side
What: Two hours of Fortnite geometry-themed laser tag with capture the flag and more for kids aged 7-12, complete with video game favorites including chug jugs, med kits and treasure chests.
Where: Near West 70th St. and Central Park West in Central Park
When: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday

NYC Wild! Inwood Hill Park Photography and Nature Walk
Neighborhood: Inwood
What: Take a stroll through the forests of Inwood Hill Park and explore some of Manhattan’s oldest wildlife. Trees that date back more than 400 years to the Revolutionary War and a multitude of wild birds give walkers an idea of how Manhattan might have looked to those who settled there centuries ago. Bring a picnic lunch and chow down while enjoying across-the-river views of Palisades Interstate Park.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday


NYC Multicultural Festival
Neighborhood: Upper Manhattan
What: The Ninth annual celebration of the myriad of diverse cultures that form the fabric of Manhattan, featuring free live performances; arts and crafts; food and retail vendors; fashion; activities for children; health, wellness and safety activities; games; photo booths and more.
Where: Jackie Robinson Park Bandshell
When: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday

Superhero Tour of New York
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: Get a firsthand look at the Hollywood film locations of several famous superhero movies, including the Empire State Building, Flatiron Building, Grand Central Station, Chrysler Building and the United Nations. Tour ends at Overlook Bar, a hidden NYC gem that displays superhero cartoons drawn by comic book artists over the past 60 years.
Where: JHU Comic Books on 3rd Avenue between East 32nd and East 33rd streets.
When: Tour begins at 2 p.m. Saturday


City of Science for Kids
Neighborhood: Greenwich Village
What: This touring STEM-themed event is chock full of interactive demonstrations, exhibitions and hands-on activities that explore the world of how things work.
Where: Washington Square Park, NYU Kimmel Center for University Life
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday


Othello In The Park
Neighborhood: Central Park
What: Shakespeare In The Park kicks things off this summer with a production of "Othello" starring Chukwudi Iwuji, Heather Lind, and Corey Stoll.
Where: Delacorte Theater in Central Park
When: 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday
