Lottery Opens For 63 Below-Market Midtown Apartments
The studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units are located inside a brand-new development near Hudson Yards.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A lottery for 63 below-market-rate apartments in a new Hudson Yard residential development is now accepting applications. The new apartment building, located at 515 W. 36th St., is set to rise 39 stories and contain about 250 total units.
The below-market-rate apartments are offered at various levels of affordability. Twenty-five of the units will be offered for individuals and families making 40 percent of the area median income, another 25 will be offered at 60 percent of the area median income and 13 units will be offered at 130 percent of the area median income, according to the city's Housing Connect lottery.
The cheapest unit offered in the lottery is a studio renting for $613 per month and the most expensive is a two-bedroom renting for $2,733 per month.

Prospective tenants must apply for the housing lottery online using the city's Housing Connect website by April 3. An application can also be mailed by sending a self-addressed letter to: Affordable Housing Dept. 515, 1357 Broadway, Box 309, New York, NY 10018. There will be no application fees, according to the city Housing connect website.
