Lottery Opens For 19 Below-Market Units In Midtown
The units — studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms — are located in The Durst Organization's EOS tower in Midtown.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A lottery for 19 apartments being offered at below market-rate rents is now accepting applications. The apartments — studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms — are located in The Durst Organization's high-rise called EŌS on Sixth Avenue and East 31st Street.
The 19 apartment units are being offered to middle-income individuals and families. Units are offered at four tiers of affordability: 90 percent, 100 percent, 110 percent and 120 percent of the area median income.
An individual must make an annual income of at least $51,532 to qualify for even the cheapest unit — a studio renting for $1,448 per month. The most expensive unit — a two bedroom renting for $2,519 per month — is reserved for families of 2, 3 or 4 making an annual salary of at least $88,355.

Prospective tenants may apply for the lottery through the city's Housing Connect website. A mail-in application can be requested by sending a self-addressed envelope to: EŌS (Phase II) c/o The Wavecrest Management Team, 87-14 116th St., Richmond Hill, NY, 11418.

Applications will be accepted until Dec. 26. Five percent of the units will be reserved for mobility disable applicants and two percent will be reserved for vision and hearing disabled applicants.
