The building at 509-515 West 38th Street will have a gym, music jam room and rooftop deck.

Those looking for an affordable apartment in Midtown — not to mention access to a music jam room — can turn to a new building on West 39th Street in Hudson Yards.
The city's Housing Connect website began taking applications for the new 30-story, 225-unit building on Thursday. There will be 46 units up for grabs in the lottery, with applications accepted until Oct. 4.
Of the 46 affordable units, 15 are studios, 25 are one-bedrooms and six are two-bedrooms. But before you rush to apply, you do have to qualify for certain annual income brackets.
