A man who lives at a Hell's Kitchen hotel is accused of biting and punching an Asian man in the neighborhood on Tuesday, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — Police have arrested a suspect following Tuesday's unprovoked assault on an Asian man in Hell's Kitchen: a man who lives in a hotel blocks away from where the attack happened, police said.
Lloyd Revell, 38, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with assault as a hate crime in connection with Tuesday's attack, which left the 48-year-old victim with a severed fingertip, cuts to the forehead and a swollen eye.
Revell's listed address on 10th Avenue is the location of the Skyline Hotel, which has reportedly served in recent months as a temporary shelter during the pandemic.

During the broad daylight attack, the assailant told the victim to "Go back to your country" as he punched him repeatedly in the head and bit two of his fingers, authorities said. The victim was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital.
Hotel shelters have become a hot-button issue in Hell's Kitchen amid complaints that the neighborhood has received a disproportionate share. The Skyline, in particular, has been the source of neighbors' ire, with police reporting a sharp increase in calls there, according to the New York Post.
