Man Charged With Murder In Midtown Shelter Stabbing
A 49-year-old man is accused of stabbing another man to death in a Midtown hotel shelter on Saturday, police said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was arrested Monday and charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death last weekend in a Midtown hotel shelter, police said.
Patrick McDonough, a 49-year-old homeless man, faces charges of second-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Stanley Castor.
Castor was stabbed around 11:30 p.m. Saturday inside 38 West 31st St. — the site of the Midtown Suites hotel, which has lately been serving as a shelter, ABC7 reported.

Responding to a 911 call, police arrived and found Castor unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to the neck, shoulder and arm. He was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
