Uptown Serial Bank Robber on the Loose, Police Say
The police are looking for a man who is accused of robbing three banks on the UES and UWS.

NYPD fear a serial bank robber is on the loose in Manhattan.
There have been three hold ups — all during the midday — over the past week, according to police.
The most recent robbery attempt came Monday afternoon at 1:06 p.m. at the Citibank at 162 Amsterdam Avenue, but the suspect fled before making off with any money.

He was much more successful in his first two attempts.
The first occurred on June 20 at approximately 4:41 p.m. at the HSBC Bank located at 1340 3rd Avenue. The suspect made off with $2,615 in cash from the location.

The second robbery occurred June 23 at approximately 4:08 p.m., when the individual entered the Valley National Bank located at 1569 3rd Avenue and removed $1,430 in cash.
The police describe the suspect as a white male, 25 to 30 years old and about 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds.
