NEW YORK, NY — Are you into river cruises and music festivals? How about ping pong and superheroes? Manhattan is brimming over with things to do this weekend — no matter what your age. Here's what's happening.
Over 50 Ping Pong Tournament
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: A single-elimination, bracket-style tournament. Pre-registration is required. If spots are still available the day of the event, onsite registration will run from 11 to 11:20 a.m. Click here for player eligibility requirements.
Where: Bryant Park, West 42nd Street near Sixth Avenue
When: Serve up some fun Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Be sure to arrive early.
Kids Party Cruise With “Incredibles” Guest Appearance
Neighborhood: Kips Bay
What: A “fun-filled family adventure” on the East River. Snap a free photo with your favorite “Incredibles” character and enjoy face painting and balloon twisting, plus music, DJs, dancing, clowns and a magic show. Food, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on board.
Where: Harbor Lights Cruise, FDR Drive near East 23rd Street
When: Two trips are available on both Saturday at Sunday: The first will board at 11 a.m. each day. The second will board at 2:30 p.m.

Family Portrait Photo Walk
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: With this photography lesson hosted by Disney TV star Me Ra Koh, you can learn to capture the most momentous family portraits in any environment. This hands-on, walk-around workshop includes special tips, tricks and techniques from the host herself. Cameras will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where: Sony Square NYC, Madison Avenue at East 25th Street
When: Start snapping your perfect photos on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Deadpool 2: Believe In Your Selfie Museum
Neighborhood: West Village
What: A pop-up, free-to-attend museum event that features your favorite characters from “Deadpool,” “Deadpool 2,” “Colossus,” “Cable” and the “X-Force.” Grab a selfie stick at the door and start snapping photos you can hold onto forever.
Where: Industria Studio 10, West 12th Street between Washington and Greenwich streets
When: Enter superhero selfie heaven Saturday at 12 p.m.

Authors In The City
Neighborhood: Lower Manhattan
What: The fifth annual book signing event hosted by Stephanie’s Book Reports, featuring a lineup of more than 40 authors.
Where: New York Marriott Downtown, West Street between Carlisle and Albany streets
When: Saturday at 12 p.m.
New Village Music Festival
Neighborhood:
What: This free festival was created “as a vehicle to unite people of all ages and ethnicities” within the New York City community, while promoting local artists. Dance to beats from tons of different genres or visit the percussion tent for a free workshop.
Where: Tompkins Square Park, East 10th Street between avenues A and B
When: Saturday at 2 p.m.
Dominican Day Parade
Neighborhood: Midtown
What: Grand marshal and Dominican-American singer-songwriter Prince Royce is this year’s grand marshal at this moving celebration of Dominican culture in New York City and beyond.
Where: Parade starts at Sixth Avenue and West 35th Street, traveling up the avenue to West 56th Street.
When: The fiesta begins Sunday at 12 p.m.
The Living Arts Festival
Neighborhood: Alphabet City, East Village
What: Bring your own art and set up a display, sing your heart out at an open mic or get your hips movin’ with some live music at this free event. Donations upon entry are encouraged but not required.
Where: The Living Gallery Outpost, East Fourth Street at Avenue B
When: Sunday at 1 p.m.
I FEEL: Crystal River Boat Party
Neighborhood: Hell’s Kitchen
What: Enjoy house and tech beats from Joeski, Ostro, Orijins and more as you sail out onto the Hudson River at sunset. Event features include Funktion One sound, large-scale art and 3D-projection-mapped installations, 3D live painting, a floating cuddle puddle, magical performances and body painting. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Costumes welcome.
Where: Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Pier 83, West 42nd Street near 12th Avenue
When: Check in begins Sunday at 6 p.m. for a 6:45 p.m. sail time.
