NYC Drivers Can Soon Pay for Parking by Phone
The new program will be available for use in and around Midtown later in December, according to the Department of Transpotation

MANHATTAN, NY — No cash on hand? No problem. New Yorkers will soon be able to pay for parking from their phones, according to the Department of Transportation, under a new program the city is launching between 14th St. and 59th St. in Manhattan.
The city revealed on Tuesday that the program also extends from the west side of Manhattan to the east side and eventually it will be rolled out to the rest of the city beyond that area.
In the meantime, however, there will be some parking restrictions as the city prepares to introduce the new program. Blue "zone" signage, which restricts parking, will be imposed between those streets. The city posted photos on Tuesday of crews installing the signage.
