NYPD Investigating White Powder Found in Mailroom of Trump Tower
The police are investigating after a person called saying they'd found a white powder in the mailroom.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are investigating after a worker in the mailroom at Trump Tower found a white powdery substance Wednesday afternoon.
The NYPD was called to the scene at 3:50 p.m. to investigate the finding. The powder is being tested by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, a police spokesman said.
There were no reports of any injuries, police said.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who lives in the building, wasn't anywhere near New York on Wednesday. He met with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and delivered an immigration speech in Arizona.
It was an eventful day at Trump Tower though, where protesters were arrested earlier in the afternoon protesting the presidential candidate's stance on immigration and use of immigrant labor.

Trump's son, Eric, had a threatening letter with white powder in it sent to his home at Central Park South on March 18. Then, on April 28, police were called to Trump Tower to investigate a white powder found in a campaign office on the fifth floor. Both substances proved to be harmless.
