Plans Filed For 7-Story Apartment Building In Hell's Kitchen

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — Developers have filed plans with the city to build a new seven-story apartment building in Hell's Kitchen.

Mortar ARCH + DEV is behind the new development, which will rise 65-feet-tall on West 49th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues, according to building plans. The building will house eight apartment units and with 8,754 square feet of space zoned for residential uses.

The average apartment unit in the building will be about 1,094 square feet large, according to development plans. Apartments on the first two floors of the building will be a bit smaller, but will feature private yard space, according to the plans.

The new building will not feature many residential amenities, but will have access to a roof terrace.

The building site is currently undeveloped, so there will be no need for demolition work to precede construction.
