Recently-Built Midtown Hotel Listed For $200M, Report Says

An Embassy Suites that opened this year on West 37th Street has been put on the sales market for $200 million.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Developers have been building a lot of new hotels in Midtown, and one of them has been put up for sale for a hefty sum on money, according to reports.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton New York on West 37th Street and Sixth Avenue is on the market for $200 million, Bloomberg first reported. AIG Global Real Estate, the majority owner of the hotel, has hired real estate firm Eastdil Secured LLC to market the property, according to the report.

The hotel, which opened in January and is currently operational, rises 39 stories and contains more than 300 hotel rooms, according to its website. The upscale hotel features king-sized rooms and studio suites equipped with living areas with sofas, balconies, complimentary WiFi, a 42-inch HDTV, a desk, a mini-fridge and a microwave and coffeemaker.

Rates for rooms at the Embassy Suites start around $275 according to a number of travel booking websites. The West 37th Street Embassy Suites is the only New York City location of the hotel chain. Amenities include access to a gym and business center and two on-site restaurants.
