Rockefeller Center's Queens Night Market Outpost Returns
The popular Queens Night Market Outpost is returning to Rockefeller Center for a second year, with six food vendors open for lunch each day.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The pandemic forced the popular Queens Night Market to cancel its main event this fall at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, but an outpost opened up this week at Rockefeller Center, serving up food through the end of November.
The Rockefeller Center outpost opened on Wednesday, scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday through Nov. 30.
This is the outpost's second year in existence, having first opened last summer for a three-week trial run in Rockefeller Center's south plaza. The event was extended into the fall last year due to high demand.

"We know these pandemic times have been especially disruptive for the food industry and the thousands and thousands of aspiring food entrepreneurs in NYC," Queens Night Market founder John Wang said in a statement. "Facing that reality, we're even more grateful for the low-cost, low-risk environment for vendors we’ve designed alongside our partners at Rockefeller Center."
The market is taking the day off Friday, Oct. 16 due to inclement weather but is set to return Saturday, according to the Rockefeller Center website.
The Queens Night Market Outpost is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday through Nov. 30, at Rockefeller Center’s South Plaza, between 48th and 49th streets and Fifth and Sixth avenues.
