Shake Shack To Open New Midtown Location
The buzzed-about burger chain will open its newest location on Monday steps from Bryant Park, the company announced this week.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Shake Shack will soon begin dishing out burgers, custards and more from a new location near Bryant Park, which is set to open on Monday, the chain announced this week.
The new eatery will open at 11 a.m. Monday at 120 West 42nd St., about a half-block west of the park. As a "small format" location, it will have no dine-in space, catering instead to to-go orders placed online.
"Our goal with the Bryant Park Shack is to tap into that digital-first guest and create a frictionless experience encouraging digital pre-order and pickup on the Shack Track shelf," Andrew McCaughan, Shake Shack's chief development officer, said in a news release.

The buzzed-about chain, which began in 2001 as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park, has since expanded to include 15 locations in Manhattan alone, and more than 250 worldwide.
The Bryant Park store will include Shake Shack's full menu and will open with coronavirus protocols in place, the company said.
