MIDTOWN, NY — The 32nd annual Sikh Day Parade kicks off Saturday in Manhattan.

The Sikh Cultural Society hosts an annual parade on the last weekend of April in Midtown to celebrate the Sikh community in the tri-state area.

The 2019 parade will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

A festival will be held at the end of the route on Madison Avenue between 26th Street and 23rd Street as well as 26th Street between Madison and Park avenues.

At least year's parade, hundreds joined to celebrate and raise awareness of Sikhs, the News India Times reported last year. The parade coincides about the same time as Vaisakhi, a New Year festival celebrated by Sikhs, which fell on April 14 this year.

36th Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue
37th Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue
38th Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue

Route:
Madison Avenue between 38th Street and 26th Street

Dispersal:
27th Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue
