Man Fatally Hit By Midtown D Train, Causing Delays: Officials
A man was killed when a D Train hit him at the Seventh Avenue station in Midtown Friday afternoon, officials said.
MIDTOWN, NY — The B and D subway lines were rerouted Friday afternoon after a train fatally struck a man at the Seventh Avenue station in Midtown, the MTA said.
NYPD officials confirmed the incident, saying the 57-year-old died at the station after witnesses saw him jump in front of the train Friday afternoon.
B and D trains were re-routed over the C line between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and West Fourth Street-Washington Square after the person was struck, the NYCT Subway wrote on Twitter.

The A, B, D, E, F and M lines were delayed for a period of time this afternoon. By about 5:30 p.m., trains were back running normally after the incident, except for the northbound E train. Though due to other service issues, the northbound A and southbound F experienced further delays.
