UFC McGregor Vs. Cowboy: Where To Watch In NYC
Head to one of these New York City bars to catch the UFC's next big fight night.

NEW YORK, NY — Ultimate Fighting Championship star Connor McGregor is getting back in the octagon on Saturday, Jan. 18 to take on Donald Cerrone — known as "Cowboy" among UFC fans. The fight takes place at the T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, so New Yorkers will need to find a local bar to watch the fight if they don't want to order it themselves on pay-per-view.
Nearly 250 bars have confirmed with the UFC that they will be showing the fight, according to the league's website. The welterweights McGregor and Cerrone is the main event of the night, but the main fight card includes four additional fights featuring athletes such as Holly Holm, Raquel Pennington, Alexsei Oleinik and Anthony Pettis. Seven preliminary fights will preceded the main card.
Saturday will be McGregor's first fight since losing a 2018 bout for the UFC lightweight championship to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Since then, the enigmatic McGregor launched his own whiskey company, announced his retirement from the UFC, was arrested in Miami Beach for strong-arm robbery (the charges were eventually dismissed) and pleaded guilty to sucker-punching a man in a Dublin bar.

Where To Watch:
The Ultimate Fighting Championship keeps a list of nearly 250 New York-area bars that have shown UFC events in the past. It's a great resource for New Yorkers searching out a place to check out the fight without having to bother with signing up for subscription services or buying the event on pay-per-view.
Be forewarned, many of these bars pay the UFC a premium to show the fight in hopes of drawing customers. Make sure you know if the place you're heading to is enforcing a cover charge or drink/food minimums before leaving your apartment.
