Win A Free Baby: NYC Doctor Holding 'IVF Lottery' For 30 Lucky Ladies
There's only one catch.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Well, here's a new one. Dr. John Zhang, a self-proclaimed "fertility giant" with offices in Manhattan's Columbus Circle, is drumming up some publicity this week for his clinic, the New Hope Fertility Center, with an "IVF Lottery" that could forever change the lives of the 30 lucky ladies whose names he draws from his almighty lotto drum.
Their prize? One free cycle each of in-vitro fertilization (IVF), amounting to around $35,000 in treatments. (Also, like, the miracle of human life, on which we hear you can't put a price.)
"This week marks National Infertility Awareness Week, in honor of the many couples who struggle with starting a family," a spokeswoman for the fertility center said in a press release. "According to the CDC, a total of 1 in 8 couples suffer from infertility, which can stem from a number of causes."

"That’s why," the spokeswoman said, Zhang wants to "help couples have the chance to conceive... completely free of charge."
As an added perk, winners will be able to say the doctor who concocted their kid is the same guy who made history last year when he combined the eggs and sperm of three adults — using the hotly contested "spindle transfer technique" — to create the world's first "three-parent baby." Read more about that madness here.

To enter Zhang's free-baby lottery, you must:
- Be a woman aged 43 years or younger
- Be able to prove you can't afford IVF treatments
- Provide a referral for IVF from another doctor
- Not have been a patient at New Hope in the past
Oh, and there's one small catch: Your struggles to become a biological parent will be broadcast and preserved forever on social media.
Zhang and his team want to name the IVF Lottery winners on Facebook Live. "So by signing up," the fertility center says, "you are waiving your rights to anonymous IVF treatment."
Still game? Send your name, date of birth, home address, email address and phone number to IVF-Lottery@NHFC.com to get started. More info here.
