WOW House: Jennifer Lopez Lists $27 Million Penthouse

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Jennifer Lopez is selling her Midtown Manhattan penthouse as she and former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez search for a new home, according to reports.

Lopez listed her penthouse in luxury condo building The Whitman for just less than $27 million. The singer and actress hired The Modlin Group to list the 6,500-square-foot penthouse apartment, according to an online listing.

"This is the crown jewel of the Whitman," Adam Modlin told the New York Times, which first reported that Lopez was selling.

A message left with The Modlin Group was not immediately returned.

Lopez's apartment is located on the fifth and sixth floors of The Whitman — a four-unit luxury condo conversion on East 26th Street between Madison and Fifth Avenues — according to The Modlin Group's listing.

The 15-room penthouse features four-bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms and luxury trimmings such as a Crestron smart home system, 12-foot ceilings and 3,000-square-feet of outdoor space spread out among four terraces, according to listings.

Lopez purchased the unit in 2014 for just more than $20 million, according to public real estate records. The superstar was abel to retain a level of anonymity by buying the unit through an entity named 21 East 26th Street LLC, according to the records and the New York Times.
