Yet Another Giant Hudson Yards Skyscraper in the Works
New plans were filed on Friday to build a 47-story tower on West 37th St., one day after plans were filed for a different 64-story building.

HUDSON YARDS, NY — Hudson Yards is fast becoming a setting straight out of "Blade Runner." One day after plans were filed for a 1,000-foot tower in the neighborhood, a different developer filed plans for a 622-foot tall building in the area. This all comes on top of Related Companies' 28-acre, $20 billion, six-skyscraper Hudson Yards project already under construction. It's a lot of really tall buildings, in other words.
The filing on Friday, first reported by The Real Deal, reveals a 47-story, 622-foot skyscraper at 545 W. 37th St. to be divided between apartments and hotel rooms. There will be 131 apartments in the building, beginning on the 32nd floor. Hotel rooms, 344 in total, will be located on floors 9 through 27.
There will be restaurants on the second and sixth floors, a spin/yoga/pilates room, fitness center and even a hotel pool on the 29th floor.

Cetra Ruddy Architects will be designing the building. The building is still pending zoning approval.
On Thursday, reports surfaced that Tishman Speyer had filed plans for a 1,005-foot-tall office building nicknamed "The Spiral" in honor of its unique Bjarke Ingels design.

Related Companies' massive development will feature six skyscrapers. The tallest will be the 1,296-foot-tall 30 Hudson Yards. Then, 50 Hudson Yards will be second at 1,068 feet, and 35 Hudson Yards will be third-tallest at 1,000 feet. The residences at 15 Hudson Yards will stand 910 feet. And then there's the 895-foot 10 Hudson Yards, which has already topped out and is open to tenants such as Coach, and 55 Hudson Yards, which stands at 780 feet.
