F. Scott Fitzgerald's Former Long Island Estate for Sale

The famous author wrote "The Great Gatsby" inside this Great Neck home in the 1920s.

Listen up, Old Sport, you can now live in the home where F. Scott Fitzgerald penned his most popular novel, “The Great Gatsby,” for just $3.8 million.

The Mediterranean style home, built in 1918, has recently been listed on the market by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda lived in the home from 1922 to 1924.

As a regular guest of several parties on the Gold Coast of Long Island, Fitzgerald was inspired by the lifestyle to write his classic tale.

North of his Great Neck home, situated on King’s Point of the Great Neck peninsula, is where Jay Gatsby’s fabled West Egg Mansion was located.

The author’s former residence is listed by Nurit Weiss and Inbar Mitzman of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Great Neck.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of history,” Mitzman said.

Located at 6 Gateway Drive, the home is stationed in one of the most prestigious areas of Nassau County, Weiss said.

The residence offers seven bedrooms, six full and one half bathrooms on more than 5,000 square feet of living space.

The estate features a large gourmet kitchen with two preparation islands, a dining area with vaulted ceilings, a music room, several fireplaces and custom built mahogany cabinetry. The private master suite offers its own balcony, large closets and an ensuite bath.
