203 Gramatan Project Nears Completion

The new workforce housing development going up on Gramatan Avenue in Mount Vernon will be feted Thursday with a "topping-out celebration."

The hosts will be Atlantic Development Group, LLC and To Better Days Construction, and local Mount Vernon subcontractors and vendors will be among the celebrants.

203 Gramatan Project Highlights:

• 1st of 3 Atlantic Group Development projects that will revitalize downtown Mount Vernon
• 159 units of workforce housing – 30 percent of which are prioritized for Mount Vernon residents
• 20,000 feet of retail space
• 43 full-time jobs created for Mount Vernon residents
• 32 percent of $40 million project awarded to Mount Vernon companies
• Sidney Avenue Municipal Garage improvements: structural repairs, new elevators, new lighting, signage, painting, and pedestrian walkways
• Gramatan Avenue streetscape improvements: new sidewalks, trees, benches, and street lights.
