Cleared: Bronx River Parkway After Wrong-way Crash
Northbound traffic was diverted onto the Cross County Parkway for hours.
UPDATE 8:51 a.m. — The Bronx River Parkway northbound has been re-opened, transportation officials said.
The Bronx River Parkway is blocked northbound just south of the Sprain Brook interchange since 3:35 a.m. Friday by a serious accident. Seven people were hospitalized, according to news reports.
All traffic was diverted onto the Cross County Parkway.

One driver has been arrested, accused of driving drunk, according to news reports.
Investigation and cleanup could keep the road blocked for up to six hours, officials said.
