Health Center Network to Honor 3 At Winter Gala
The Annual Winter Gala will be held on Thursday, March 8.
From the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Network: The Board of Directors of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Network (MVNHC) a leading provider of community healthcare for over forty-four years, is pleased to announce that the Annual Winter Gala will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Glen Island Harbour Club, Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, New York.
This year’s honorees are: The Honorable Barbara G. Zambelli, Judge, Westchester County Court, and Acting Justice of the Supreme Court (Retired). Judge Zambelli will receive the Achievement Award. Leonard Polonsky, Chief Executive Officer, MedStock will receive the Community Service Award and Edward Amelemah, MD, FACOG, Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Network will be recognized with the Leadership Award. Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event will be Mr. Richard Giacovas, News Reporter for News12 Westchester.
“For over four decades the Health Center Network has been committed to ensuring that residents of our community have access to affordable quality healthcare,” says Ms. Myrna Merchant, Board Member of MVNHC and Gala Committee Chairperson. “The honorees exemplify dedication and commitment to making lives better for the people of Westchester County.”

Honorary Co-Chairs are Andrew D. Racine, MD, PHD, and Mark P. Weingarten, Esq. Dr. Racine is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Montefiore Medical Center, and Executive Director, Montefiore Medical Group. Mr. Weingarten is a Partner of DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr, LLP.
