HGAR Promotes Multiple Listing Services Coordinator
The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® recently promoted Laverne Brown of Yonkers to Manager of Multiple Listing Services.

From the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors: The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® recently promoted Laverne Brown of Yonkers to Manager of Multiple Listing Services (MLS). In her new role, Brown will continue to support HGAR members, as well as teach classes in MLS operations for the Hudson Gateway School of Real Estate.
Brown joined HGAR in 2016 as the MLS Coordinator. Prior to this, she worked with the Charlotte Regional REALTOR® Association (CCRA) in North Carolina for 13 years. She eventually became the Help Desk Manager there, supporting and managing the MLS.
A native New Yorker from the Bronx, Brown graduated from Julia Richmond - Talent Unlimited High School in Manhattan. She then traveled to her parents’ home state of South Carolina, where she later earned a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from South Carolina State University.

Upon graduating, she returned to New York City and worked with Microbank Software in downtown Manhattan for a few years before returning to the South. Brown has a 14-year-old daughter, Danielle, who attends the Fiorello Laguardia School of the Arts in Manhattan.
The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR) is a not-for-profit trade association consisting of almost 11,000 real estate professionals doing business in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties as well as the Bronx and Manhattan. It is the second largest REALTOR® Association in New York, and one of the largest in the country. The Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service (HGMLS), owned by HGAR, offers some 20,000 properties in the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. It is among the top 50 largest MLSs in the country.
