Motorcyclist Critically Injured After 27-Foot Fall From Exit Ramp
The entrance to Cross County Parkway was closed for nearly 4 hours overnight as first responders worked at the scene of the serious crash.

YONKERS, NY — A Pennsylvania man was critically injured after being ejected from his motorcycle and falling 27 feet from a Cross County Parkway entrance ramp to the pavement below.
The crash happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday, according to Westchester County Police. Angel Lopez struck the concrete divider on the ramp and was thrown from his motorcycle. He was launched from the elevated ramp from the Bronx River Parkway onto the eastbound Cross County Parkway, landing on Midland Avenue below.
Yonkers Fire Department and Empress Ambulance Service rushed to try to save the accident victim. The 20-year-old was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he is said to be in critical condition.

Both Yonkers Police Department and Westchester County Police responded to the serious accident. The entrance ramps to the eastbound Cross County Parkway were closed for nearly four hours, until after 3 a.m., while the initial accident investigation was completed.
