Mount Vernon High Grad Now Heads State Medical Society

Dr. Malcolm Reid takes office as president of the Medical Society of the State of New York .

Malcolm D. Reid, MD, has taken office as the president of the state medical society. He is a graudate of Mount Vernon High School and is chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West in Manhattan.

Dr. Reid is also a graduate of Fordham University and earned his medical degree and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University, according to the Mount Vernon Daily Voice. He has also served as president and chairman of the board of trustees of the New York County Medical Society and as president of the Manhattan branch of the National Medical Association.
