Cops with armfuls of books will be at Getty Square, near the Dunkin' Donuts from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and will then move to Lincoln Park near South Broadway and McLean from 1-3 p.m. Officers will also be available to receive donations of books in like new or gently used condition.
Members of the public whose taste in reading materials have advanced past Curious George or teenage vampires are still encouraged to stop by to say hello to the men and women in blue. Mask wearing and social distancing protocols will remain in effect during the activities.
