TicketNetwork Takes Christmas Cheer To Grace Baptist Church

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Hundreds of families across Mount Vernon are sharing in the warmth this holiday season as recipients of brand new clothing, jackets, and boots thanks to the TicketNetwork staff. In lieu of a holiday party, the staff opted to donate funds to help deserving citizens in surrounding communities get much needed outerwear during this frigid holiday season.

One of TicketNetwork's partners in this giving project was Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, New York, where the items were distributed Saturday.

“It was fantastic to see that our staff voted so overwhelmingly to give back, but it wasn’t surprising,” said TicketNetwork CEO Don Vaccaro, whose facilities staff worked with nine local charities across Connecticut and New York to identify more than 400 individuals, determine their sizes, purchase, sort, and distribute thousands of jackets, sweaters, boots, hats, gloves, and sweat suits in just over a week. “To make the choice to sacrifice something in order to make things a little brighter for someone you don’t even know is a real reflection of the quality of people we have working here for us.”

Company staff helped sort through the articles of clothing, which were delivered to the organizations on Tuesday.

“It warms my heart to see local businesses open their hearts and resources to help those who may be in need,” said the Rev. Dr. W. Franklyn Richardson, senior pastor, Grace Baptist Church. “Thanks to the staff and leadership at TicketNetwork for choosing to pay it forward during this holiday season.”

Other organizations receiving items from the staff include: First Calvary Baptist Church (New Haven), Macedonia Church (Norwalk), Full Circle Youth Empowerment (Bridgeport), New Antioch Baptist Church (Hartford), Mark of Excellence Preschool (Stamford), Harris Tucker Nursery (Hamden), and Gifts of Love (Avon).
